Our story
CanvasCode was founded in memory of Rishi, who lived eighty-eight days. Born with a heart in which all four chambers leaked, he learned — every single day — how to breathe. Unable to drink milk, he adapted: a few drops at a time. He fought until his last minute. He taught our family that there is always a way, always hope, always a path to win — and that our battles are ours to fight. CanvasCode exists to give children fighting battles they did not choose the one thing that changes everything: a way.
We are Rashmika and Rishi’s parents, and a family that builds things.
Sruthi chose to be a full-time mother, and built alongside it: her own designer-clothing boutique, freelance work, art lessons for children. When Rashmika wanted to start a small soap business that gives what it earns to help others, Sruthi helped her build it. She feeds people, and she is moved — always — by people in need.
Ravi has spent his career building companies and technology teams, in India and the United States — taking products from an idea to revenue, and doing it more than once. Children’s and community causes have never been far from that work.
CanvasCode brings everything we are to one place: her care and his operator’s discipline — budgets, metrics, published results — pointed at a different bottom line: a child’s first income, earned on their own terms.
We didn’t choose this mission from a list. It was left to us — and building is how our family answers.
